   Overall, A great purchase… I originally ordered these boots in my normal size (9.5) and found that the boot do run a bit large. I then returned the boots and ordered a half size smaller… which fit perfectly. I’m not sure if it is the make of the boot or the fact that I was the first to put them on, but the boots were fairly difficult to put on the first several times I wore them. I gave them time to break in, and now find it much easier to wear them. I will say that when wearing these boots, a thin sock is entirely necessary. My boots have incurred some minor scuffing and general wear. I notice, though, that this only give the boot even more character. One complaint that I have is that the sole (which is adhered to the floor of the boot) seems to peel further and further back every time I take them off. I would not be surprised to have to purchase a new sole or have the current sole repaired in the future. Honestly, I love these boots and would order the same style in black if it were available in my size. This is my first pair of Frye’s… and I do not expect for it to be my last.

   Finally, a good fit. This is a great-looking and great-fitting boot. The description lists this as a 15″ circumference so don’t be afraid to order if you are close to that size. Even being a pull-on versus zip they are an excellent fit. Making em’ jealous!!! People either stare or compliment every single time I wear these boots. There is NOTHING like a pair of Frye boots with its leather, texture, and rich color. I did have a little difficulty getting my heel in but have learned to do it timely by a method of slowly but firmly wiggling it in pushing downwards. They are beautiful. Worth the expense. Frye Jesse Harness Boots for Mens. Beautifully crafted. Very comfortable, even on the first day. Only complaint: they are extremely difficult to put on! That said, I still might buy them in black.

   Beautiful boots! These boots are as pretty as I had hoped, although I wish they were an inch taller on my calf. It took some work to get them over my instep, but once on, they fit my foot nicely. My biggest problem is that they slip in the heel–my socks are inched down and I am worried about blisters. The leather is gorgeous and the style timeless. I’m crossing my fingers. Favorite boots ever! Well, I love boots and these surpass any I’ve ever owned. They’re beautiful, cool and unbelievably comfortable. They don’t run big, though, as most Fryes do, so you’ll have to order your correct size instead of sizing down.

   Very comfortable once I broke them in. Order a 1/2 size up. If you have wide feet you might even go up a full size. Quality craftsmanship; I expect these will last forever. They look great too. I’ve gotten so many compliments on these boots Rock n roll - These boots are hardcore, yet classy enough to wear with a skirt. They look hot over tight jeans. As could be expected, they slip a bit in the heel, but thick socks help, and hopefully it will lessen as they wear in. I’m sure they’ll last for years. REALLY Hard to Get on! I ordered these in my size and they took 30 minutes to get on my foot. The instep is so low that you can’t squeeze your foot though. They are so cute and I wanted to have them so badly but it’s just not worth it. Once I managed to squeeze my foot in there was plenty of room for my foot and my heel slipped when I walked. I am going to return these for something better. I love these! These boots are wonderful. I usually have a hard time finding boots that will fit over my calves because they are extremely muscular but these actually fit. They took a little to put on the first time, but after I wore them they stretched out and are really comfy. They look cute up all the way or slouched down. Great and versatile. They feel true to size!!

   As Pretty As I Thought They’d Be - Based on the reviews here, I bought a half a size up from my normal size and they are perfect. The leather is soft and buttery. I didn’t find them hard to get on but my instep is not high and my feet are not wide. The calf circumference is dead-on 15″ and feels good. You can wear them up or slouched, and as someone already remarked, they slouch nicely around the ankle when pulled up. This is a great boot, rugged yet feminine!
   Great boot - Ordered this boot to be in style for the fall. It is beautiful and comfortable. Replaces the Fryes I had in High school (1970!). They look good with skirts and pants. I like that they are not too tight around the calf, yet don’t sag a lot either.

   Amazingly beautiful boots - Great boots - wonderful quality. The leather is an even deeper, richer color than in the picture (I ordered the brown). I bought these 1/2 size larger than I normally wear and they fit well - although I won’t be able to wear thick socks - but I don’t see that as a big deal. Great Boots!!!!! I received my boots today-with free two day shipping!!! They are beautiful. They’re a little hard to get on but fit well. I am going to add an insole for extra cushioning. The color is perfect-I got the brown- and the leather is soft and buttery. LOVE THEM!!! Tight Fit - These are really cute - but they take some effort to get on. Very difficult to get over my instep. Once they were on (took about 5 minutes) they felt fine. I am assuming they will wear in a bit and be easier to get on and off. I normally wear a 6.5, but I ordered them in a 7 as per usual for Frye’s. They slip in the heel and rubbed a bit, but I think they will break in nicely. Not as comfortable as the Frye Campus…but really cute.

   Runs way too small. Very cute boot BUT . . . the instep is soooo tight that I could barely get it on while barefoot. Considering that I would probably wear this with socks means that I cannot get it on at all, and I ordered a half size larger than I normally buy. Frye boots normally run large, so it’s very strange that this style ran so small and so tight. The leather is nice and soft, and they don’t slouch unless you make them, and I wanted to wear them non-slouched, which is good. But I’m concerned if I go up another size that they will still be too narrow in the foot, but too big in the heel. Panic Attack.. I HAD to have these boots. They were -exactly- what I was looking for! But, when they arrived I almost flipped out because I couldn’t get them over the instep of my foot. I did NOT want to send these back!! I kept trying and eventually they made it but it was a struggle. I have several other Frye Boots, none with this issue. Once on, they did feel a little snug in the toes, but loose in the heel. Regardless, I am DEFINITLY keeping these. The leather is high quality and they slouch nicely around the ankle. Beautiful, classic boots! I will wear these a ton. (can’t wait till they break in…)

   Tight fit for wide foot - I love these boots however I couldn’t keep them because they were too narrow for me. I love the campus boot it fits great, but this style just didn’t work for me. I went a half size up and still couldn’t get the right boot on my foot. Adorable! After trying on every boot in the department store I finally picked these. Yes, they’re expensive, but they are extremely well made and timeless. They are selling out quickly so GRAB ‘em if you want them!! Awesome boot - This boot is great. The leather is really soft and comfortable, so it doesn’t need breaking in like most boots. It doesn’t slouch much, which I really like a lot, due to the thin strip of leather down the back. I usually need a 16 inch calf circumference, and these boots adjust at the top and give just enough that they’re a great fit on me. They’d also do fine on someone with thinner calves because of the adjustable top. They’re really rad looking, but still nice enough to wear with skirts. Of course, Zappos service was as great as ever.
