Love my boots! I normally wear a 7.5 but bought a 7 after reading the reviews. They fit perfectly with regular socks (not too thick but not dress socks.) I love these boots! They are comfortable and cute! Plus I got them super fast!!

I love these boots now that they are broken in. They were a little hard to get on but once on feel true to size. The leather is harder then what I thought. I happened to like the distressed look of the boots so the marks on the leather were ok for me. Some people might not like that. Overall love the look and love zappos!!!!

love these!!! I was nervous making such an expensive purchase for boots online, but these boots are awesome!! The quick shipping was a great surprise! I found they are true to size with boots being a little more spacious inside. I will keeo these forever!

I love these boots! I got these in tan a couple of months ago and have worn them at least every other day most weeks and every day in other weeks. I have received many compliments on them. They are not quite as soft as I imagined they would be, but still comfortable—I walk about 1 mile total each day as part of my commute, and I haven’t gotten blisters from them. My feet are wide, so the front of the shoe feels a little narrow, but they have stretched with time. Based on previous reviews, I ordered a half size smaller, and they fit perfectly.

Ladies Harness Boot - It’s been many many years since I bought a pair of Frye’s…and I just LOVE them ! In fact, I plan my clothes around them just to get to wear them! Sad to say, the puppy used one for a rawhide chew and I have to spring for a new pair…but knowing if I keep them out of reach…they will last forever!

I LOVE these boots! Awesome service from Zappos! They upgraded my shipping for free and my boots arrived in less than 48 hours! The heel is a little wide, but I like it that way. It does not rub in a bad way. I wear an 11 and have very big calfs and these are perfect on me! Totally comfortable…I have them on right now! Thanks Zappos for the great service! I would recommend these boots to anyone. In fact, my best friend is so jealous I think I will have to suprise her with a pair just to keep the peace!

These boots are of the highest quality, They arived EXTREMELY quickly, and I put them on and have worn them ever day since! I have another pair in Olive, and they are just the best boots ever. I constantly get compliments on them, and they’re as fabulous with skirts as they are with jeans. I just wish they made size 5, as 5 1/2 is a bit big for me…I just make them work because I love them

I am tickled with my new frye boots. They are so cool!! I went a half size smaller than usual based on previous reviews, and they fit great. They are a little tough to put on and take off but once you have them on they feel great. I’ve worn thick socks or two pairs of socks to help with the loose heel and it works good.

GREAT BOOTS!!! I bought these in a 6 because they didn’t have a 6.5. I have a wider foot so I definately could have used the 1/2 size bigger but I wore them all day with socks and my feet weren’t that bad off. They definately need some stretching time. The quality of these boots is unmatchable and you won’t be disappointed with your purchase. They take some getting into, but once they are on, they fit like a glove!!

I love these boots!! I read the previous reviews so I ordered the boots in a half size smaller than I normally wear and the fit was perfect. They felt great the first time I put them on. I wore them all day and they felt like they were made for my feet.

My husband ordered these boots for me for christmas however the pair he ordered were to small, so we ordered one size up when I recieved those their was a spot on them so we ordered a third pair. The third pair was a perfect fit and looked great. They are very comfortable. Zappos told my husband they ran small however I think they are very true to size. We had to send the other two pair back. Zappos was very great to deal with, the boots we got within two days and they explained very well how to send the others back. They were very good about meeting our needs I have used Zappos before and would recommend them. The last pair of shoes I ordered were ordered on a wednesday and I got them on Friday. Shipping is quick and prices are good.

My Fryes are my Signature Shoe - All year round…I wear them with jeans, skirts, miniskirts in the summer, cutoff jeans shorts, dress pants…I have black and a super-old pair of light tan. I live in NYC and walk a lot, so these boots get a workout and they are soooooo comfortable. Added bonus — their impermeability, so I can slosh through those pond-size puddles that happen on NYC street corners.

Need Breaking In - Stiff right out of the box, and a little tricky to slip on, even over thin socks. Will need to go dig out my bootjack to get these things off reasonably easily, but I’m sure they’ll loosen up a bit as I wear them more. I had a pair of Fryes back in the 1970s, and didn’t remember anything about sizing, but ordered up half a size to compensate for regular width, knowing I really need a wide width, which turned out to be a good move. The only boot I’ve ever gotten that was buttery soft right out of the box is a pair of elkhide Justins that I’ve had for a decade, that were made on a combination last with a narrow heel and wide across the ball of the foot, so I was sort of expecting in the breaking-in period with these Fryes. But at least they’ll last forever. Funny this…but I never imagined that Frye would be based on Long Island, of all places!

Although I just received my boots yesterday, I was compelled to write because I absolutely love them!!! The things I was most concerned about, all turned out okay. I wasn’t sure what size to order as some reviews said they ran 1/2 size bigger. I ordered my regular size shoe 9 1/2 and they fit perfect. Another concern was the color. I wanted black, but didn’t want the boots to look brand spankin’ new, so I ordered the olive. Fearing that they would look too green, I was so happy to see that they looked like a well worn black, not green at all. And the loose fit in the heel, yes, this is true. The heel is loose, but I have a pair of professional Dansko’s (”rocker” style shoe) and I’m used to the loose fitting heel, so this does not bother me. Finally, could I get my foot in this boot? I had read that some people really had a hard time. But my foot went in just fine, I’d say “snug” going in, certainly not “tight”. Now, I have the total urge to buy two more pair just like this, in wheat and tan. Start saving!!

Love them! Fabulous boots. Like others said, take some breaking in, but once they’re broken in couldn’t be more comfortable. I have them in tan and they are so comfortable, the best made shoes I own, and really good looking. These can’t be beat, I hightly recommend! /size down however, I’m a true 8 and wore a 7.5 in these.

cute in the boots - I’ve been eyeing these boots for quite some time, and finally Santa brought them to me for Christmas. I wear them with skirts and jeans and receive compliment after compliment on them every time.

Love ‘em - I have always wanted a pair of cowboy boots but not the pointed ones, these boots are OFF THE HOOK!!!!! They go with everything and you can dress them up or down. I wanted the brown but it was out of stock, so I got the wheat and they can be worn with any color. We recently had lots of rain in LA and I wore these boots, they don’t get stained when wet and are very high quality leather. I want another pair!!!! They do take a little breaking in, I have worn them 4 or 5 times and they are still not 100% comfortable but they get better each time. The toe cage area is a little tight. Otherwise Totally Awesome Boot and I would buy them all over again.

Love your boots! “Love your boots” is what I hear when I wear these. They are good looking, comfortable, well-made boots. Like any cowboy boot, they need breaking in, but that seems to have taken just a few days wear. I have worn them in rain and they don’t look any worse for the wear. My daughter also poured milk on one which I quickly wiped off and no stain has appeared. The ring sometime rotates around so that the opening shows rather than being concealed behind the leather straps, but that is a minor nuisance.

Love your boots! “Love your boots” is what others say when I wear mine. These boots are great looking, well made, and comfortable. As with any cowboy boot, they need breaking in, at first, but then they are great. They don’t show water stains or wear very much, which is nice. My only complaint is that sometimes the ring rotates so that the open part shows. I can twist it back around so that it is hidden, but it keeps turning around- a minor issue.

The first thing I saved up for and bought with my own money when I was a young girl was a pair of Frye boots. I have always loved the look and the new styles are better than ever. My husband gave me this pair as a gift on Christmas morning and I put them on immediately (they look great with pajama pants, by the way). I’ve worn them several times. The quality, design, texture and color are excellent. My only complaint is that they feel slightly big in the heel. My husband purchased a half size smaller than I normally wear based upon some reviews he read. That was a good move. The size is right, but again, the heel is a bit wide. It will be worth it to figure out the right sock or insert to comfortably wear these very cool boots.

Casual but Sexy! I love these boots! They look really great with bootcut jeans, but also with a skirt and denim jacket. My only complaint is that they are REALLY hard to slide on, even with thin socks. I’m hoping that after wearing them awhile, they’ll go on easier. Once you get them on, they are SUPER comfortable! I loved them so much I also bought the Frye Harness Mule in black. I’m stylin!

I have wanted these boots for a long time. Originally back in the 70’s when I was a kid and my mom wouldn’t buy them for me. Recently, when they came back, I said “they have to be mine”. I bought a pair of Frye’s in Coconut Grove about 10 years ago and have worn them ragged. What a tough, good looking classic boot. They were solid and had a thick leather sole and felt like “kick ass” boots. For example, one time my husband was making a repair to the sink, laying on the floor. I tried to step over him and accidentally kicked him in the head. OH MY GOD. You would have thought he had a concrete block fall on him the way he yelled. I was wearing my Frye boots. I felt bad at the time because it was quite a whack. (But when we later divorced, I decided he really had it coming.) SO, When I saw the Harness I said “they’re back! I am gonna have them this time!!!” Everywhere I looked they were expensive, then I found Zappos. The SAME boot, a lower price, and FREE SHIPPING! It only took me as long as it takes to type my name, address and card number. Better yet, they were on my doorstep in 2 days!. They are as cool today as I imagined they would be 25 years ago. I have worn them to work for days in a row, which has caused a stir, because I am a lawyer. I really, really want another pair, the ones that are black leather and suede, shaped like a cowboy boot, but all the way up to the knee. I have them saved on my “favorites” on my computer, and look at them all the time. I can’t make myself order them because it is Christmas. Maybe Santa will send them to me. Love these boots - These boots are awesome…The only thing is you need to break them in. They are a little stiff so it makes them a little difficult to put on and get off. But after just a couple of times of wearing them they are breakig in just fine and alot easier to put on. I LOVE them. They are just as cute in person as they are in the picture.

Like buttah! 100% comfortable right out of the box, and the best-made footwear I’ve ever owned, at any price. My foot is a real 10.5 (Euro 42) so I normally have to go up to an 11 since American manufacturers never make a 10.5, but the good folks at Frye assured me that this style runs about a half size large, so I ordered the 10, and it fits like a glove. I also have rather large calves, and these just fit (I might have the shafts stretched a little). Zappos lists the calf width as 13.5″, but that’s for a much smaller size. If you call the Frye company, they can tell you the exact measurement for your particular size. I wore these right out of the box for a full day with lots of walking in the city, and then spent the evening at the barn in slush and ice, and these boots were comfortable throughout all of it. The rubber soles have great (but still stirrup-safe, if that’s a concern) traction, and easily go from urban hipster to practical farm wear. The dark olive is a nice neutral color, that looks like black in some light, decidedly greeny in others. More mossy than olive, though I think.

Love my Fryes - I was thrilled to receive them the next day!! Love the look and color. I am a size 10, but these seemed a little bigger. Would like them to have fit narrower on the calf, but still wear them with skirts anyway.

Classic Cool - Better than average comfort with style. I’ve received compliments on these boots every time I’ve worn them & they just keep getting better with age. The bonus is that I saw these on the Sundance catalog site for almost $100 more!

A beautiful, well crafted boot. Although the front of the boot is a bit narrow, it does become more comfortable after you get use to it. I got the tan color, and it goes with everything in my closet. A really wonderful boot!

Frye boots are the BEST! I literally can not say enough great things about Frye harness boots! I love them so much I’ve told people they will have to pry them off my feet this Fall and Winter!
In all seriousness, these are the most comfortable, well made and good looking boots you can find. I’ve purchased two pairs - one in black and one in tan, which is a wonderful neutral that goes with everything. These boots are comfy from day one, and I especially love the rubber bottom sole, which makes them so easy to walk in gives very sure footing! These boots look adorable with cuffed jeans, or long.

I love them! I’ve had them on since I received them this a.m. Only 1/2 hour or so breaking in time - it’s now evening and I still have to walk the dogs - in my new boots. They are perfect!!! I found they do run 1/2 size large. I wear a 9 and an 8.5 is perfect.

Nothing like Fryes - These are great looking shoes, and the quality is beyond compare. The width does seem to be a little narrow at first, but this improves with wear/as the shoes break in. I wouldn’t buy any other harness boot.
